Here is a little something I wrote about unrequited love… it’s not based on anyone in particular, this is just an experience we are all too familiar with throughout our lives and I felt the need to write about it….

I have wanted you forever
You’re in my thoughts from day to day
All of these romantic things,
I hoped that you would say…
When I wake in the morning
I look around the room
I think of what could happen
If I were not just to presume..
And as I sit and contemplate
It took so long to see
That the one you want to be with
Was never to be me.
